IT CHANGED THE ECONOMICS OF DEBURRING
Leonardo redefines how a 1,500 mm deburring machine uses abrasives, energy and automation.
A 150 mm transversal grinding belt covers the full 1,500 mm working width. Enhanced with edge-first pressure control and automatic wear compensation, this delivers consistent deburring and edge rounding with significantly lower operating costs.
The result: up to 5× longer belt life, up to 10× lower belt cost and up to 40% less energy consumption.

1,500 MM WORKING WIDTH
Conventional 1,500 mm deburring systems use a wide grinding belt. Leonardo approaches the process differently.
Its 150 mm grinding belt travels transversally across the full working width. This means the abrasive surface is used evenly, regardless of where parts are positioned on the conveyor.
Evenly distributed wear means up to 5× longer belt life. And because the belt itself is much narrower, its cost is approximately one tenth of a conventional 1,500 mm wide belt.

EDGE-FIRST DEBURRING
The transversal belt follows a conformable pressure pad that adapts to the workpiece.
Instead of unnecessarily loading the complete surface, the pressure is concentrated on the edge. The pressure pad compensates for variations in sheet thickness and distributes the load precisely around the contour.
Grinding pressure can be adjusted in 0.01 mm increments. When the belt is not required, the pressure pad automatically retracts so the workpiece can pass without unnecessary surface contact.
Put the pressure where it is needed. Deburr the edge.
even as your tools wear
SAME RESULT. EVERY PART
Four oscillating top brushes round external and internal contours after deburring.
Leonardo continuously keeps track of the process. After a brush change, the brushes are automatically calibrated. During production, Advanced Control measures tool wear and compensates automatically.
Process parameters can be stored in recipes and recalled for repeat jobs.
Less manual adjustment. Less dependence on operator experience. Consistent edge quality throughout the batch.
lower energy by design
SAME JOB. 40% LESS ENERGY
The transversal belt architecture does not require the heavy drive systems typically associated with conventional 1,500 mm wide-belt machines.
Powered by just a 7.5 kW grinding belt motor and a 3 kW vacuum system.
It cuts energy consumption by up to 40% compared to standard setups, without losing performance.

1,500 MM IN A SLIM PACKAGE
Leonardo combines a 1,500 mm working width with a very compact machine concept.
Its fixed passline makes integration with conveyors, handling systems and automated production lines straightforward.
Consumables are stored inside the machine, keeping belts and brushes immediately available to the operator.
Large working width. Compact footprint. Ready for automation.
